As the use of Virtual Machines (VM) becomes more commonplace, so does the need for qualified professionals experienced with that technology. Many of the world’s largest organizations use VM solutions to optimize performance, simplify and manage their IT. Tremendous savings can be achieved through more efficient utilization of hardware using virtualization techniques.
To meet the demand for skilled professionals, Broadview Networks has partnered with ESXLab to offer a new portfolio of vendor-independent VMware training curriculum. This new line of high-quality VMware training is open-channel, allowing us to offer training to our customers right away and with no barriers.
With VMware vSphere™ 6.5 training at Broadview Networks you will learn how to leverage the power of virtualization to transform your IT infrastructure and increase control through service-level automation.
All Broadview Networks VMware Training Classes feature a live, in-person Instructor at Broadview’s 1530 Taylor Avenue location or you can attend these same live classes from your home/office PC via remote instruction technology.
About the Instructor: Larry Karnis, VMware / UNIX / Linux
Larry Karnis has over 15 years experience as a Trainer and maintains expert level skills in VMware Virtual Infrastructure along with expertise in UNIX systems from all major manufacturers including SUN, HP, IBM, SCO, SGI and others. He has used Linux in production environments since RedHat 4.0 (1997) and has earned many vendor certifications.
Larry has worked with VMware ESX since 1.5 and Virtual Center since 1.0. His work assignments include helping clients architect, design, implement, administer and monitor VMware Virtual Infrastructure deployments.
Larry has also built remote access VMware Lab kits so that organizations and individuals can access a ready-to-go VMware environment for testing and practice.
Larry is also the Author of the upcoming 5-day course entitled: VMware vSphere 6.5 Optimize, Upgrade, Troubleshoot taking place here at Broadview on May 28 June 1, 2018.
This powerful 5-day class provides an in-depth look at vSphere 6.5. The course covers how to deploy vSphere 6.5, how to optimize it – including VMs, ESXi hosts, vCenter Server Appliance, networking and shared SAN storage… with the goal of delivering both scalability and performance.
We show step-by-step how to upgrade or migrate to vCenter Server Appliance 6.5, how to use VMware Update Manager to upgrade ESXi hosts and how to use VUM how to upgrade VM virtual hardware.
And, we will also show you how to diagnose, isolate and fix common problems. All of vSphere Client, Host Client, Web Client and command line tools are all used to explore, configure, update, investigate and zero in on performance bottlenecks and trouble spots. Up to 45% of class time is devoted to labs so concepts, skills and best practices are developed and reinforced.
By the end of the class, attendees will have learned practical, actionable skills in vSphere design, implementation, upgrading, sizing, scalability, performance optimization and troubleshooting.
This is not a beginner level course. Attendees should have experience installing and configuring and administering vSphere 5.x or 6.x components including ESXi, vCenter server or vCenter Server Appliance.
People completing this course will be well prepared to challenge the Certified Virtualization Professional (CVP) exam. For more information, please visit http://cvpcertified.com
