Large Files in OneDrive
Sharing files with a link isn’t brand new, but integration into Office is! When sending an email through Outlook to anyone already synced to a SharePoint folder or OneDrive account, attachments are automatically converted into a link. The recipient just has to click to download.
Want them to be able to look but not touch? You can edit permissions so they can have as much (or as little) control as you want.
(Don’t worry, you can still choose to attach files as local copies, too.)
Smart Lookup
While copy-pasting a word into Google works, you can save time and up productivity by using the new Smart Lookup tool. Just highlight the word or term you want more information on, right-click, and select “Smart Lookup”.
From definitions to research, the results (powered by Bing) will appear in a sidebar called “Insights” with you ever having to leave your Office app.
New Charts
Office charts are getting a little stale, wouldn’t you say? Time to switch things up!
There are six new chart types to choose from in Excel, specifically focused on better options for visualizing hierarchical data. Check them out below!
– Pareto
– Sunburst
– Treemap
